Espace VTT FFC Pays Châtillonais - n°3 - The Biche trail. Official route approved by the French Cycling Federation.

This circuit, with its three loops, will allow you to compose your route according to your desires. The most courageous will find their way out of the forest to the Voisin clearing, home to a Romanesque church. This is a varied, pleasant and easy route, which even links up with route 4.

Departing from the Val des Choues Abbey, this challenging circuit takes you from coombs to plateaux, all the way to the hillock of Saint-Phal and its little chapel. But don't go too fast! There are plenty of viewpoints over the Ource valley and peaceful ponds in the heart of the forest. A real change of scenery!

From Auberive, follow the D428 towards Germaines. Follow this road through Germaines to Colmier-le-Haut. Drive through the village, continuing to follow the D428 (which will become the D928 once you reach the Côte d'Or), this time in the direction of Recey-sur-Ource.
Take the same road through Recey, leaving it as you leave the village by turning left onto the D29 towards Essarois.
At the junction with the D996, turn left along this road and then right along the D29 to Essarois. Go through the village and continue on the D29 towards Rochefort.
Turn right onto the forest road, then right again onto the forest road heading towards the abbey.
At the intersection of the Mathey and Tézénas roads, continue straight ahead on the Tézénas road.
At the intersection with the pond, turn right onto the road towards Voulaines-les-Templiers.
In Voulaines, turn right onto the D928 at the junction after the church, to reach Leuglay. Drive through part of the village on this road and then follow the D102h towards Faverolles-lès-Lucey.
In Faverolles, first turn left onto the D102 for a few metres before turning right onto the D102c towards Gurgy-le-Château.
At the crossroads at the entrance to the village, fork left to reach Gurgy-la-Ville on the D22.
In Gurgy-la-Ville, turn right onto the D22b towards Rouvres-sur-Aube.
In Rouvres-sur-Aube, turn right onto the D20 towards Auberive. Follow this road through Bay-sur-Aube towards Auberive.
At the junction with the D428, follow this road to the left to reach your starting point in the centre of the village.
