Château de Montigny-sur-Aube
With its facade with big bays separated by coupled columns, here is a beautiful exxample of castle the Renaissance built in 1550 on a medieval fortress vestige of which we see another in the estern angle: the red tower. Its Southern facade giving onto the English-style park reshaped, as for it, in the XIXth century. Isolated along staves, the castrale chapel, pure jewel of the Renaissance, presents a very decorated door and a beautiful device bossages in point of diamond.
Visit on your own with tape guide of the chapel and the outsides of the castle including the park and the orchards-kitchen gardens, certified "remarkable gardens".
All summer, visitors will have the possibility of tasting sherbets, fresh fruits juices or seasonal vegetables in the terrace of the orangery. Our farm-inn "at the table of the gardeners", reserved for the visitors, is opened from 12 hours from June 1st till September 2nd included (except on Monday).
Our chef will proposes you his "Plate freshness" elaborated from our harvest of fruits and vegetables. A menu of drinks is also available.
