Arc Patrimoine et Culture

From the outset, the aim of the Arc, Patrimoine et Culture association has been to develop and offer cultural activities. In the early days, these consisted of lectures on a variety of subjects. These activities then expanded to include an annual trip, a "book fair" and, occasionally, events of great importance and impact, such as the commemoration days for the centenary of the English temporary military hospital of 1914-1918 at the Château and Maison St. Martin. More recently, these have included "discovery days", the organisation of concerts following the merger-disappearance of Arc Musical, and the development of a theatre group.

The second is heritage: Arc-en-Barrois has five historic monuments listed as buildings or objects. Our aim is to ensure that these monuments are safeguarded, in collaboration with administrative institutions, and to promote them and make them accessible to the public.
